The WeeRide center-mounted bike seat offers an award-winning design that makes biking with your child much safer and much more fun. It's installed onto virtually any bicycle via a patent pending, independent steel support bar that attaches between the front handle bar tube and the seat post. It provides a much more enjoyable and interactive experience for the child and rider. Your child's needs can be heard, seen and attended to more easily, and he or she has a more interesting view--no more staring at someone's back. Other advantages include no dangling arms or legs to reach wheels and the rear of the bike is free to carry your gear. The seat is made from an injection-molded plastic form, and it features a comfortable padded foam seat, enclosed foot beds designed to protect children's feet, and a fully adjustable three-point security harness. The Padded pedestal armrest sitting atop the handlebars gives children somewhere comfortable to put their hands, and can serve as a headrest for the napping toddler. The steel support bar is an independent support system that does not interfere with brake cables or other attached bicycle gear. It includes different sizes of plastic spacers for the front yoke attachment and rear seat post to protect the posts and ensure it fits on almost any recreational bicycle available. It's easily removable for when you want to ride on your own. This seat can be used with mountain/city bikes with upright handlebars (with drop-handled racing handlebars, the rider leans forward too much for the child to sit comfortably). Children should be at least 1 year old, and it has a maximum weight capacity of 40 pounds. It's designed for casual riding on smooth, flat, paved and dry surfaces free of sand, gravel or dirt.

 My one year old loves it! December 2, 2008
I love cycling and couldn't wait to get my daughter out with me. She absolutely loves sitting up the front of the bike on this seat. She thinks she's driving. It was easy to install and she sits quite comfortably in it. It took a little getting used to having her there for steering and dismounting but no more than the one time out in the park.

I am 5 feet and 2 inches tall. My daughter is 2 and 8 months old. This works very well for me and my daughter. After the unit is installed, I can still put tips of my both feet on ground at a stop while seating.
Also you get a free toddler white helmet which at a retail store is around 15 USD(same quality ).

I live in Miami and with the wheather like this, i really enjoy going around the beach with my son...
The only problem i found, it's the place for the foots: my son (20 month old) with a size 8 now are perfect but if you are 8 1/2 or 9, I think it won't fit.
Above all we love it.

I ordered this from Wal-MArt online and they lost my order, so after anxiously waiting 2 weeks for it, I canceled my order with them and they refunded me the money. I was paying $97 for the same thing from them. Got it here for $64, plus a helmet, plus some gloves. My 20 month loves it. He is 22 lbs and very petite. The straps are little big, so I have plenty of room for his growth spurt! The helmet is super cheap quality...but who cares, you still cant beat the price for everything. Just get a better helmet:) It also comes with the bar to place it on the bike, as I was confused because the site said that other customers had bought the bar to attach the seat to. But its all there, together! I love having my son in front of me, I can talk to him, and hear him talk back. It does not get in the way of my legs at all, and I am a good size girl. I have a 26" bike from Wal-Mart, I am 5'4 and 175lbs! Just to give you an idea that it is perfect!

Upon receiving this product I noticed there was no helmet with this product. The picture shows a helmet. It does not say helmet required it actually shows a picture of a helmet. The picture is misleading.
On a positive note I can now take my 3 little children on a bike ride. You have to get on your bike a little differently and ride a little different but all in all it works.
