This is a perfect toy to keep at Grandma's house. It makes noise, but the variety of sounds keeps it from being annoying, and the babies seem to love it. For a creeper or toddler, chasing it is fun when it rolls away, making an interesting sound. You just have to keep the adults away from it, as they will monopolize it to find out what else it can do.
 Amazon Would Not follow up on order January 17, 2008
This might be a great product but Amazon never turned the order in!
Ordered this on Jan 1, on Jan 7, I called Discovery to see when it would ship, they told me Amazon didn't give them the order. Called Amazon, they said they just turned it in on the 7th, check back later. After not receiving tracking number I contacted Amazon again by email and they wrote back that it was My Fault for not ordering Express Shipping so it would arrive on my Grandson's First Birthday. I complained again that I found that insulting since if they would have turned in the order sooner it might have gotten to my grandson around the 8th. BUT turns out Amazon NEVER turned in order to Discovery Store. Amazon refused to do anything till 14th, which was Only to offer refund but NO explanation as to Why they didn't turn it in. I had to order it directly from Discovery Store, now over a Week after his Birthday! Why didn't Amazon tell me they were not going to place the order in the first place? I would have ordered directly from Discovery directly much sooner. Thanks a lot for NOTHING AMAZON!!!!

I love this bongo. It doesn't take much for the bongo to react to the baby's touch. It's a great cause and effect toy. My baby love it, too!

We were given this drum for my son's first birthday. It has round buttons around the sides to change between three modes: a basic single drum beat sound, a couple of short single electronic sounds, and music (a total of three songs lasting about 20 or 30 seconds each that I could best describe as tropical party rhythms). My son loves beating on this drum and particularly enjoys the music setting. He loves bouncing up and down to the songs. As a rare treat with his toys, my husband and I actually find the music kind of catchy ourselves. Overall, I don't quite get why my 1 yr old likes this drum so much, but then, he also loves our pans and tupperware, and I don't understand that either.
