The best potty training investment December 2, 2008 This portable potty / potty seat is the best thing we have bought for potty training. We have mostly used it as a seat, but a few times we have used it with the bags as a stand alone potty. I love that it can function both ways.
It folds up very small. We have the smaller backpack diaper bag by Eddie Bauer and it fits into the back pocket with no problem.
The seat itself is comfortable enough and stable enough that my son had no problems sitting on it, even before he turned two. The seat is actually designed better that the potty chair or the bjorn seat that we have in terms of splash-guard for boys.
I highly recommend this for anyone, because you can't just lock yourself in your house while potty-training. However, for people who travel and want to pack light, this is a necessity. I can whip it out in the airport, on the airplane, at my mom's house, in a hotel, wherever, and my son is comfortable enough to do his business in the potty.
Although I haven't used it for this - I can also imagine it might save some bigger kids (or adults) a dark walk to the bathrooms when camping. Just a thought. :-)
Best ever travel potty November 2, 2008 We have this travel potty for our now 3 year old and keep it in the car for when we are out and about. It's awesome!!! We bought it when we were potty training and it was perfect for "right now" potty needs. A little low but it is so small in it's travel bag, travels well in the back of our small SUV (were it gets used), and you can put 3 liners in at once so you aren't constantly doing it when you need to use it. I, personally, wouldn't use grocery bags instead of liners because most of the grocery bags we end up with have holes and I would really hate to find out the hard way that I missed a tiny hole. If you are looking for a great travel potty, THIS IS DEFINITELY IT!!!!!!
Perfect Portable Potty September 9, 2008 Potty training has been frustrating, but the Potette Plus has made a huge difference to help with all the unexpected potty stops -- of which we have had many. It's small enough to fit in the diaper bag or stroller and can be used anywhere. We have taken it to both Yosemite and Hawaii and have used it during many urgent stops. I love the liners that cover the entire seat for when our daughter uses it on the go, and I love that it can be used on the toilet for when we are in a hotel or at a friend's house. I now keep one in the truck of both our cars.
Great travel potty August 18, 2008 My son is 3 years old, and is great at going potty at home and refused to wear diapers/pullups anymore, but was scared of using the big toilets when we were out and about. The first time I set this potty up, he sat on it readily and went right away. He's never seemed uncomfortable sitting on it and I find it really easy to set up. It fits wonderfully in a diaper bag or big purse. Most importantly, we can now spend hours out playing or running errands without being afraid of accidents. Has made me a VERY happy mom!!
Awesome!!! August 3, 2008 This little potty really came in handy when my two-year-old decided he had to go potty while we were driving and there was no where for me to stop that had restrooms, so I just pulled over, pulled out the potty, set it up in the front passenger seat and my son did his business all in less than five minutes. It was that easy!!! Worth every penny!!! I now carry it around in my purse and use it as potty seat on regular toilets as well.
