Product Description ATTN: Britax owners. If our product is too short, please check to be sure your LATCH straps are in the forward facing position.
Whether flying on an airplane or traveling by train or bus, it is safest and most comfortable for your child to be in a car seat. But traveling with a young child, their seat, and your carry-on can be tricky. Not anymore. The Traveling Toddler strap allows you to attach your LATCH and top tether equipped toddler's car seat to a rolling carry-on suitcase. Simply attach the LATCH and top tether straps from the car seat to the Traveling Toddler and adjust the straps so that the car seat is held securely on the suitcase. Once adjusted, the car seat can be detached and reattached to the suitcase in seconds. Lift the handle of your carry-on bag and you have a fun new stroller.
Now there's an easy and inexpensive way to take your toddler's car seat and other gear on your trip. You do not have to buy a special seat or suitcase. As long as your suitcase handle locks in place, you can push it like a stroller. Your hands are free for check in and its simple to unhook for security. Keep your child safe and comfortable in their own seat.
The Traveling Toddler has been tested with most major car seat brands including Graco, Eddie Bauer, Cosco, Evenflo, and Britax, and a variety of carry-on suitcases and has worked with every combination. It is important that the telescoping handle of your suitcase locks in place. If not, it might not stay extended when you try to push your child in front of you, though you would still be able to pull them. If flying, make sure that your car seat is FAA approved before traveling.
The Traveling Toddler strap is made from heavyweight polypropylene webbing that will withstand 900 lbs of force. When not in use it easily slips in the pocket of your carry-on. As with any other wheeled child carrier, do not use the Traveling Toddler on stairs or escalators.
Car seat and suitcase sold separately.
Patent pending.

great product! November 18, 2009 LRad (Los Angeles) So simple, so good. I haven't written a review before but I had to because I loved this thing. I traveled with 2 boys (3yrs & 1yr) and managed to fly across the country with no problems. Yes, you have to take it off at security, but you have to take your child out of any carrier, and the straps should go back on easily. (You will have to tighten a little again, but you can do that with your child strapped back in.) And nothing is going to make your Britax Marathon fit down an aisle but the flight attendants were very helpful. SO much easier than the go go baby travel mate with the screws! And I didn't need another car seat, just for the plane. Like the other review, I could have sold boxes of these at the airport!
Fantastic product! November 9, 2009 TX2GO (Wylie, TX United States) I had been searching for some way to manage a bulky car seat, carry-on luggage, and a 2-year-old granddaughter. The Traveling Toddler Car Seat Travel Accessory is absolutely perfect. It is simple and quick to attach and can be left attached to the car seat so it doesn't become lost while you are traveling. My granddaughter always wants to walk so I didn't try letting her ride in the seat. The only con is that when you actually board the airplane it can be difficult to manage because aisles in the smaller planes are very narrow and most car seats are wide. (But this has nothing to do with the quality of the product) Be prepared to un-hook the seat & ask for help from the flight attendants. Also, you can count on being the last off the airplane because of the room required to hook everything back together. Overall it is a fantastic product at a great price.
Best travel accessory every! November 4, 2009 Rachael E. Schroeder (Irvine,CA USA) Such a great invention! We traveled out of the country with this with our son and i don't know how we would have made it and had to carry the huge car seat around! We bought a seat for my son and needed a way to help carry him and some of our stuff through the airport. I tried it at home so we knew what we were doing once we were at the airport. Those cart things you put the car seat on are $80-$100 sorry i wont use it enough to pay for that. I couldn't recommend this product enough!
Great inexpensive way to pull carseat through airport October 30, 2009 D. Ramakrishnan (Raleigh, NC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The product is only a small T shaped harness type strap - but the job that it does proves that "size does not matter" :)
As per other reviews, I also agree that the product is great, well worth its price (considering the alternatives) and a must-buy if you have the need to lug your carseat anymore than a few steps. A few things:
- We used it with our Radian65 carseat and the installation was a breeze. The buckles basically attach to your carseat's existing 2 latch clips on the side and top tether (when used in front facing mode). I would suggest you check your carseat first to see if there is easy access to your carseat's 2 LATCH clips and top tether - this is what will make your use of this product easy or hard.
- We don't rely on the seat as our primary stroller - we found that sometimes our daugher wants to sit in it, but not all the times (considering she has to sit in that carseat on the plane and in the car). So we've had to take our stroller along at times - but that depends on your child - test it around around the neighborhood and see if they will stay put in the seat
- Its fairly easy to unclip the seat during security check (compared to the atlernative products) and reclip it.
- Make sure your suitcase is sturdy, has good wheels and a strong handle. The carryon is what will bear the weight of the bag, the carseat and also your child - pick one which has a sturdy handle and wheels
Simple and easy! October 19, 2009 C. Swartz Now that we have to cart around the toddler seat, I was trying to figure out the easiest way that I could manage on my own. I was going to get the GoGo Kidz Travelmate, but found this one as well. I figured that for $15, might as well try this one out first! It works great! So easy and simple. Even my husband who usually rolls his eyes when I come home with "gadgets" for the baby thinks it's great. We've used it for 4 flights so far and my husband even went through security and took the car seat on the plane with this, carrying our little guy in his seat the whole time. We're very happy with it and hope it continues to work well for us as he gets bigger!
