Lightweight and ergonomically designed for a sure grip, this bikini trimmer shapes and smoothes those delicate, hard-to-reach areas. A thumb wheel adjusts the blade height to five different settings that accommodate long or short hair. After two AAA batteries (not included) are inserted, the trimmer operates with a simple on/off slide button. Since the trimmer is not water-tight, it is meant for use on dry hair and should not be used in the tub or shower. The blades are lubricated for life, and are easily cleaned with the included brush.  Only lasted through 2 battery changes August 18, 2008
At first this seems like an awesome deal: you get a product that works well for a very low price. The only drawback is that it only lasted through two battery changes, and it doesn't take long to use up the batteries. I would recommend against purchasing this product, unless you are okay with it no longer working after minimal use. I will not purchase anymore Remington shavers.

At first I was a bit skeptical after reading what other buyers had wrote about the remington bkt-1000...but i did purchase it, and it works very well...although occasionally the top part that holds the razors pops off...it goes back on and would continue working...if your looking for a quick fix its a good buy

Item works great but if it gets even slightly wet, for example when you clean it, it stops working. I've bought two but now I am switching to another because I'm tired of replacing it because I cleaned it or dropped it in the sink.

This is a fantastic trimmer!! But please understand that's what it is, a TRIMMER. It's not going to remove the hair completely - that's not what it's designed to do.
There are several lengths you can set it at, so it's perfect for everyone. Excellent value!

I had originally bought one of these at a local drug store to try. I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT!!! I use it mainly for touch ups between waxings, though the different length options make it feasible to use for almost any type of hair trimming. My original one broke after about 4 years and I couldn't find it anywhere locally so I ended up looking on amazon and ta-da!!! Don't let the low price fool you- this really is a great product.
