I purchased these binoculars specifically for use in theatres for live performances and they worked perfectly. Even though I was seated in the second tier of the theatre, I could bring everything in very clearly. They also are very good for outsight viewing. They are compact enough to carry easily and the price was very reasonable. I would purchase these again and recommend them to future buyers.

Bought these to use for lawn seats at an outdoor concert. The view was fuzzy & grainy compared to another set of cheap binoculars I brought along. Wouldn't buy again.
(The better set I had on hand is the Carson Tracker 8 x 21 mm Compact Sport Binocular, offered on Amazon for 25.80.)
Great Buy July 28, 2008
These little binoculars come in very handy at concerts, graduations, etc. The best thing about them is the fact that they are so compact. They fold down to a very small size and I'm able to slide them right into my camera bag and don't have to carry anything extra. They work great and are an excellent value at $20!

Portable and great for quick use July 6, 2008
This product was great for my purposes. I drive to work and see so many birds yet I can't always be sure I identify them correctly. This pair of binoculars suited me perfectly because they're portable so I can carry them easily in my car and whip them out to affirm or change my identification. They don't work well for serious birding, and I would definitely recommend a different pair for that, but as a portable "help-mate" they work awesome!
