Excellent Goods November 15, 2008 My profession requires long shifts of constantly being on one's feet. For decades I have searched for a shoe that will give support and help to provide proper posture. The 965 is it. My leg aches receded and finally went away entirely. Lower back pain is minimal even after 2 concurrent days of fourteen hours. I love these shoes! My early morning routine involves a walk with my dog of about one mile. One reviewer expressed issues with wet feet from the dew. I have never experienced this and have even stepped in a puddle of ankle depth and found the shoe to be water resistant. Once again, the shoe met all expectations. For about $100 this shoe is a bargain and a pleasure!
Walk great, waterproof, not so much January 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Fit great, walk great. I live in the countryside and walk my dog 3/4 mile twice a day, uphill and down, rain or shine. Didn't expect these shoes to hold back a cloudburst. I use Cresta hikers on bad days. All the same, in the morning weeds are wet. The tongue web on these shoes is not sealed in the corners so wet weeds will wet your socks.
I bought a pair from Bean's and returned them for another pair on account of the leaks. Second pair the same. The morning wetting is not so bad I can't live with it, but I think it's wrong. NB WW985's on their site are said to be seam-sealed. When my MW 965's wear out I'll try those. John Traugut
MW965 March 21, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am 60 years old and walk with a cane for balance. However, I can walk quite quickly on unpaved trails. The New Balance MW965 provides exceptional stability for me and are truly comfortable. They may cost a bit more but are well worth it. Be sure to get a proper fit. My feet got wider (along with my tummy) as I got older.
