Product Description Unless you've been living under a rock for a couple of decades, you've heard of the famous adidas shell toe. Introduced in 1970, it was an instant favorite of the NBA. By the mid '70s, three quarters of all NBA players were wearing the low-top Superstars. This updated version of the adidas Superstar basketball shoe features new materials and colors as well as a herringbone cupsole and a new 3-Stripes execution with reflective edge details. And, of course, the shell toe. Leather upper with a rubber outsole.
Product Description The Superstar was introduced in 1969 as the first low-top basketball shoe featuring an all-leather upper and the now-famous rubber shell toe. By the mid 70s, three-quarters of all NBA players were wearing the new shell toe shoes from Adidas, and the Superstar has been in production ever since. Truly a classic, the Superstar II features a soft tumbled leather upper, a rubber cupsole with herringbone traction design, and a die-cut EVA insert for added comfort. About Adidas The vision of company founder Adolf Dassler has long become reality, and his corporate philosophy the guiding principle for successor generations. The idea was as simple as it was brilliant. Adi Dassler's aim was to provide every athlete with the best possible equipment. It all began in 1920, when Adi Dassler made his first shoes using the few materials available after the First World War. The Adidas name dates back to 1948, deriving from the first two syllables of Adi Dassler's first and last name. One year later, Adi Dassler registered the Three Stripes as a trademark. After a period spanning almost 70 years, the Dassler Family withdrew from the company in 1989, and the enterprise was transformed into a corporation ("Aktiengesellschaft"). French-born Robert Louis-Dreyfus was Chairman of the Executive Board from April 1993 to March 2001. It was he who initiated Adidas' flotation on the stock market in November 1995. Adidas--a name that stands for competence in all sectors of sport around the globe. Today, the Adidas product range extends from shoes, apparel and accessories for basketball, soccer, fitness and training to adventure, trail and golf.

Great Sneaker November 8, 2006 I purchased these for my daughter who is very particular about her sneakers. She has a narrow foot and these fit great. She loves them, very comfortable, good fit, look nice.

fast shipping, but I had to exchange the first purchase because the shoes were too small , I think those shoes have a problem with the shape , but anyway I have exchanged and I am satisfied with my new shoes , if you are thinking about get one of them just take a bigger size. they are really beautiful.
The best sneakers ever! March 11, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the sixth pair of Superstars I have purchased, and I probably will never purchase another brand or style. The arch support is phenomonal, which is surprising for a shoe that looks so flat. I wear them for both work and play and my feet are never disappointed, not to mention they are totally adorable in every color.
What a disappointment! March 9, 2006 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
These shoes were too small and looked like it has been used. The soles were supposed to be black, but they were gray. Somehow, I tried these at the store and the size was fine. However the ones Amazon sent didn't fit. Overall, I was very unhappy with this purchase; therefore, I returned it for a full refund.
