I have a crepe rubber outsole. I have jute laces. I have branded patches... fun!I come with a thimble, two needles, two different thread colors, written instructions, and a helpful video to take you through each step. I am held together water based cements. I am part of the BETTER category.

Along with its laid back look and feel, it's made with all suede uppers, a grippy crepe rubber outsole, and a removable cork and EVA insole for an ultra-cushioned and shock-absorbing step. This shoe was made just for you and your eco-conscious lifestyle.

Comfortable and Fun! September 10, 2008 There are many things good with this shoe, but I'll get the bad stuff out of the way first...my only complaint is that there isn't enough extra thread included: they give you just enough. Putting the shoe itself together was somewhat time-consuming, but is a nice, challenging project. The instructions have nice diagrams for each step and are pretty easy to follow.
Good stuff: the shoes are sturdy but still really comfortable. The sole is thick enough, but not clumsy or heavy. Oh yeah, they look REALLY cool too and are pretty unique. You can customize how you thread the laces and there's plenty of space to add your own beads/threads/etc.
Overall: comfortable, sturdy, fun to make, stylishhhhh.
Cute but SMALL August 19, 2008 I followed the orders of the other reviewers and ordered a size up. I'm normally a 7.5 and I ordered an 8, and I just finished the first shoe and they are tight but wearable. Soles are rubbery and squishy and comfortable. All in all worthy of the $19.99 price tag and environmentally conscious to boot!
disappointment July 23, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
i was so excited to get this shoe, but it turned out to be a disappointment. it took me 2 hours to stitch one shoe together and when i was finished i could BARELY get my foot in it. i ordered a half size up from my normal size to be safe and i had to fight to get it on. the instructional video makes it look easy, but it's not nearly that easy. the shoe itself is very cute. i'm just sad that i won't be able to wear them.
stich your own shoe June 16, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It took me 2hrs to stitch one shoe together and than I found out the shoe runs soo tight and narrow that I cannot put my foot in. Bummer, didn't bother to stitch the other shoe, of course. There is NO RETURN policy on this item, because it's "do it yourself". It's is a cute shoe when stitch together, but the issue of not be able to try it on before purchase and no returns accepted - I think it is a big problem.
