Best arch support in a sandel yet! July 13, 2008 This is my 1st Chaco sandal I've tried. I have been a TEVA fan for a long time, but the Chaco's have a great arch support. I was looking at the $95 Chaco's, but decided on the "HipThong" as it was less pricey. I was concerned about them not having a heel strap and they would fall off like other thong style sandals, but indeed they remain put! I clean in-ground swimming pools here in New Orleans for a living and tennis shoes are a nightmare! I come home wanting to amputate my feet after 8 hours of WET tennis shoes! ö ...and the next morning, shoes are still wet. Now with my Chaco's and SunBlock SPF 70 I can put a full days work in with no pain or strain :) (except for it being 90+ degrees all day long) I will say they are a tad heavy, but nothing like WET shoes and socks! By far the most comfortable sandal I've worn. I will try other Chaco styles by visiting a local Chaco retailer on Magazine St. Men's size 11 is spot on!
Most comfortable sandal June 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love these Chaco sandals. I bought the woman's version through another retailer and they don't fit a wider foot correctly. When I returned them to the store, the woman working there suggested trying the men's two sizes down. They are the same looking sandals. I decided not to buy them at that time. However, I saw them on sale for 27 dollars on Amazon in a mens size 7 and decided to take a chance. The worman was correct. These fit a woman's slightly wider foot perfectly!!!! No wear in time, no blisters and 60 dollars less. Now thats what I call a great suggestion and deal. Would buy them again. Thanks merchant at "the other store".
good but could be great June 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
ok so I bought these for $27.90 so there is really nothing to complain about, because regularly these things go for $70. However; the thong part of the flip flop is to high for my foot, the sole fits my foot. but since you can't adjust the thong part, only the strap, they look a bit funny on my feet. I think Chaco should make them a bit tighter, because the flip itself is so heavy that if you do not wear it tight it will be virtually impossible to walk in except maybe around your house. I have heard of others having the same issue, but like I said for $28 bucks I can't complain to much still a well mad product, but could have been designed a bit different.
Can never own TOO many chacos! May 20, 2008 This is my fourth pair of Chacos. I absolutely love Chaco! I bought a mens 7 to match up with a womens 8 because I wanted the brown singltrack color. The only thing I would say negatively is that because I am a female I don't need as much wiggle room in the toe area and it is a little loose there. This part of the sandal. is unadjustable. However, I can adjust the sandal. to stay on because of the classic adjustable straps around the middle of the foot. It probably fits better in that aspect on a male foot. Otherwise, I am very happy with this purchase. You can't beat $27.90!
fast and great! April 25, 2008 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
These were a gift for my son. We ordered them while he was with us in Costa Rica and by the time he returned home to NYC he received them. He said he loves them. He could not wait for the weather to be warm so he could wear them outside. He was happy. It was his birthday gift. Pretty cool that we could look at them through internet down here in sunny beautiful Costa Rica, chose his gift and then return home and have them arrive the next day! 3 day turn around I think! Thanks.
