Purchased two security belts for trip to Peru.Felt comfortable and secure at first but while in Jungle, where it was very wet, the straps slipped in buckle and it was impossible to keep tension on pouch. Finally had to tie knot in strap to prevent it's slipping out. This created an unpleasant feeling bump. Spouse was less bothered by this than I was. Item is not even close to being water resistant

This was a great way to discretely carry my personal items around China. The elastic band was adjustable and was quite comfortable. I also bought the one that you wear around the neck. I actually found that one a little more useful. It's awkward to pull up your shirt and peel down your waistband to access the travel wallet. It went through airport security without setting off the metal detector as well. That's important to me because I hate wasting time at those security checkpoints. The only thing I would recommend is to place the important documents (passport, money, etc.) in plastic ziplocks before placing them in the wallet. You most likely will sweat while wearing this item and you will find your materials wet if you don't cover them in plastic.

I bought this for a trip to Barcelona where pick-pocketers are known to roam free. I stuck out like a sore thumb looking like the tourist I was -- but there wasn't an instant that I felt unsafe. I had no pockets to pick! It's true how the other reviews mention that it's tough to grab things from inside the security belt while it's on. I had adapted quickly to use the security belt as a storage place for backup things. I had my passport in there, along with large sums of cash. Daily I would move the day's expenses in cash into my wallet. That system seemed to work pretty well. At the end of the day, if you practice "security-by-obscurity", this will probably do very well. But if you're showboating the thousands of dollars in cash you have in your chic $15 security belt; don't be surprised if you lose it.

Very comfortable money belt and great quality. It's almost like wearing a piece of lingerie. Took this to south Asia and was very impressed with it. Don't rely on your bags, etc. to hold your valuables-- use this item!
