Jansport is the best March 16, 2010 C. Chou A word about Jansport.
I bought this to replace a pack I had since 98. That pack has been with me all over the world and was solid until recently when one of the plastic locks on shoulder straps broke. While I bought this one to go with me on a recent trip I sent my old pack back to Jansport to get it fixed. Per their life-time warranty, I got my old travel buddy back with not one new plastic lock but two! With this service, I have decided to stick with Jansport forever.
This pack was as close to the one I originally had as I could find. I like the laptop sleeve, the side net pocket, and the small pocket zipped pocket on the side of the top pouch.
This thing is going to be a trooper too!
Great quality pack, tough to use zippers. February 24, 2010 Corey G. Grover (Salida, Colorado) This is a great quality backpack. It has plenty of room for alot of different things. It even has a place to store a laptop. My only dislike is that the way the zippers are designed. They hang up on the flap covering the zipper sometimes. Other than that, this is a all-around great backpack.
Good pack February 6, 2010 Robert Moore Got it for my daughter, who is a college student. She is very happy with it.
Great buy! December 27, 2009 Glamazon 876 (NY) I was skeptical about spending so much on a backpack, but it's worth every penny! It has 2 huge zip pockets on top, the rear pocket can accommodate a 17" laptop in addition to several textbooks or binders. It has a neat pocket near the top which is just big enough for pens which I really like because you can just grab a pen quickly without digging through everything else. I absolutely love it and it comes with a lifetime guarantee!
Plenty Of Space December 18, 2009 Jason A. Schrauth 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I use this product for school, traveling, and camping. I live in WI but my family is in PA so I like a bag to carry all of my things. Im in school for geology so I take it camping/hiking. The only thing is I wish it had another mesh pocket on the other side, a hook to hang my camera on, and I wish the straps to hold the compartments close together latched with a clip instead of tightening like a seatbelt. Otherwise, the bookbag is great--it has plenty of space for different things. The bottom front pocket has pen holders, and a small pouch for ipod/cellphone. The laptop sleeve holds my Dell 1545- 15.6" with some extra room to spare. I really like the color (Blue Kinfs Plaid). The zippers are kind of hard to open because they get stuck on the flaps that cover them, but I just keeps the flaps folded up. The fabric seperating the compartments isn't as sturdy as Jansport used to make, but its still a good quality bookbag. I hope it lasts me a LONG time!! My wife is in medical school so she has alot of books so she has one also. I rated a 4 because of how Jansport changed the fabric. We were trying to decide between this bag and the Big Student bag, but since this has 2700 cu in VS 2100, we went with the bigger one.
