I think clear umbrellas are much safer (and more fun) than regular opaque versions, so I always seek them out, especially for my preschol-aged sons. I was surprised at how sturdy these were when they arrived -- they withstand some wear and tear. And they have the round-tipped ends rather than the little daggers. Great for kids!

My 2 and 4 year olds love these clear umbrellas. Make playing in the rain fun and they can watch the rain fall from the sky. Perfect size for kids and quality is great.

I searched many of the stores in my area looking for a kid's umbrella and I have to admit it was more difficult than I thought. They either had chunky handles(too big for my 2-year-old's fingers), or they were a marketing major's dream. I don't want my child to be a walking billboard - and I am an advertising graphic artist! I just wanted an umbrella well-suited for my toddler who loved playing in the rain but wants to still see where Mommy or Daddy is. This umbrella fits the bill. This is well built and fits his hands perfectly. It allows him to be protected from the rain but still see how cool the water looks as it trickles down the sides. Thank God for Totes and getting back to the basics. Who knew.
