Product Description Columbia Sportswear Benton Springs Sweater for Kids (Size 4/5 - 18/20): When frost covers the ground and your teeth chatter, the Columbia Benton Springs Sweater will keep your kids toasty warm. Made of a Polyester MTR non-pilling fleece that lasts season after season, the Benton Springs Sweater has cozy pockets to keep your hands warm as your breath freezes in the cold winter air. A great second layer for kids, this fleece will keep them warm enough to enjoy the outdoors from the afternoon into the evening!
Product Description Extremely versatile, the girl's Benton Springs from Columbia Sportswear is great as a stand alone fall or spring sweater or as a second layer under a child's ski coat. This cozy sweater features 100% polyester MTR fleece, which is easy to care for and won't pill even after multiple washings. This lightweight fleece jacket has a stand-up collar, full zip front, hand warming pockets, and offers radial sleeves for a full range of motion. About Columbia Sportswear Founded in 1938, Columbia Sportswear Company has grown from a small family-owned hat distributor to one of the world's largest outerwear brands and the leading seller of ski-wear in the United States. Columbia's extensive product line includes a wide variety of outerwear, sportswear, rugged footwear and accessories. Columbia specializes in developing innovative products that are functional yet stylish and offer great value. Eighty-year-old matriarch Gert Boyle, Chairman of the Board, and her son, Tim Boyle, President and CEO, lead the company. Columbia's history starts with Gert's parents, Paul and Marie Lamfrom, when they fled Germany in 1937. They bought a small hat distributorship in Portland, Oregon, and named it Columbia Hat Company, after the river bordering the city. Soon frustrated by poor deliveries from suppliers, the Lamfroms decided to start manufacturing products themselves. In 1948, Gert married college sweetheart Neal Boyle, who joined the family business and later took the helm of the growing company. When Neal suddenly died of a heart attack in 1970, Gert enlisted help from Tim, then a college senior. After that, it wasn't long before business really started to take off. Columbia was one of the first companies to make jackets from waterproof/breathable fabric. They introduced the breakthrough technology called the Columbia Interchange System, in which a shell and liner combine for multiple wearing options. In the early 1980s, then 60-year-old Gert began her role as "Mother Boyle" in Columbia's successful and popular advertising campaign. The company went public in 1998 and moved into a new era as a world leader in the active outdoor apparel industry. Today, Columbia Sportswear employs more than 1,800 people around the world and distributes and sells products in more than 50 countries and to more than 12,000 retailers internationally.

| Customer Reviews: Great Value September 11, 2009 New Digital Camera User (Mound, MN USA) This fleece jacket was priced right. The color appeared more pink in the picture on the computer. When it arrived, it was more purple in color.
Perfect just what she needed...Whew! August 25, 2009 JLK (CALIFORNIA) In Short, like it is described Spring jacket. My daughter at 11 needed a light weight jacket...great color choices, not to mention the price was great...if it gets misplaced...it can be replaced. Thanks for the selection, Columbia is reliable.
great coat May 22, 2009 Kelly Papenfus I bought this jacket for my daughter for a spring coat. She says it keeps her warm in the chilly mornings at the bus stop. It fits her good.
nice color, feels thin January 13, 2009 Julie (Evans, GA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered this for my 10 year old daughter. She has borrowed my fleece jacket a few times, and wanted one. She loves the color and it fits well. She is thin but tall......you need to order up on size.
My only complaint is that the material is thinner than my Columbia jacket. I hope it holds up as well.
Nice Mid-weight Fleece Jacket for Kids January 6, 2009 Andrea L. Polk (Southern Oregon) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Columbia calls this a 'sweater', but around my house it's considered a jacket. Soft and cozy to the touch, it washes well and retains its size and shape. The soft, pretty colors don't fade with numerous washings, nor have I noticed any pilling of the fleece. This is a good quality product that fits the bill when you are looking for something to layer under a waterproof shell or a heavier coat, or as to wear all by itself in place of a sweatshirt or traditional cardigan sweater.
Don't hesitate to buy one or two.. your children will like wearing them and you'll be happy with the way they look while they are staying warm.
